It’s been a busy week for Aviation Skills Partnership as we have appeared at three different aviation events in just three days!

On Thursday (3rd November) our ASP Ambassador Steven Hadley was at the Ormiston Venture Academy careers fair. He was there to talk all things aviation with the academy’s students, and found that there was particular interest in our engineering pathway. There was also a lot enthusiasm for our International Aviation Academy which is currently under construction in Norwich. Guests described it as ‘impressive’ and said that ‘it will be a fantastic asset for Norwich, in particular the airport.’

On Friday, we were at the Royal Aeronautical Society’s Careers in Aerospace Live event. It was held at the Royal Aeronautical premises in central London, and was aimed at those looking for a career in any and all areas of aviation. We spent all day answering questions about starting careers in aviation, with our ambassador Abi Witts also delivering several presentations on the subject. We were thrilled to be exhibiting alongside many of our esteemed aviation industry colleagues.

And last, but by no means least, we were at Pilot Careers Live in London on Saturday. We continued to explain, encourage, and engage young people who want their careers to take flight. We also had some exciting new technology on hand. Our augmented reality technology allowed guests to interact with a floating 3D model of an aircraft engine, while our 360° videos and virtual reality headsets put them in the seat of a glider flying above the palm in Dubai.

It has been a very successful few days for ASP, as we continue to share our pathways to aviation with young people all over the country.
