On the 9th December, Aviation Skills Partnership held an exclusive VIP event at the International Aviation Academy-Norwich. We Invited key aviation, education, and public service professionals to showcase the fantastic progress being made with the build of the academy, which will open fully in April 2017.
Over 40 VIP guests from across the East attended, including many CEOs and directors of organisations involved in bringing the academy to life. We viewed the building being actively constructed, and held speeches in which all key participants expressed their passion for aviation and the world-first academy. A small group entered the construction site with the site manager, and, after climbing 63 flights of stairs to the roof, they completed a roof panel – ‘topping out’ the Academy.
We then enjoyed delicious canapes, refreshments, aircraft-shaped biscuits, and specially branded cupcakes delivered by our new café provider for the academy. We’re delighted that Norse Catering Services will be catering for the academy when it opens next year and, judging by the reaction of our guests, our students will be too!
